Green Planet Solar Energy were proud sponsors of the matchball at the recent Championship fixture between Coventry City and Ipswich Town at the Ricoh Arena.
After a pulsating game, the home side were narrowly beaten thanks to a stoppage time winner from Town’s Michael Chopra, who secured a much-needed 3-2 victory for his side.
The defeat was hard on the hosts who continue to scrap at the foot of the Championship table, but the result did not dampen the spirits of the representatives from Green Planet Solar Energy too much, who were treated to a day behind the scenes at the Ricoh Arena.
Coventry City defender Richard Keogh presents Green Planet Solar Energy director's Paul Summers and Grant Woollaston with the matchball.
“We really enjoyed the day and the team looked after us really well,” said Grant Woollaston, a director at Green Planet Solar Energy.
“There were twelve of us in box and despite the result everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
“We have actually had a box since the start of the season but had not sponsored a match before, but it was definitely worthwhile.
“Green Planet Solar Energy are proud of our links with the football club and a world-class venue like the Ricoh Arena, and we will continue to look to further develop links with the local community.”
