NORMANTON TO BENEFIT FROM FIRST FOCUS FIXTURE | News ...

Normanton Knights will be the first club to benefit from a Wildcats Amateur Club Focus Fixture this Saturday night.

Normanton Knights will be the first club to benefit from an Amateur Club Focus Fixture this weekend.

As part of a new initiative from the Wildcats Community Trust, Amateur clubs will enjoy a unique matchday experience and also have the chance to raise funds to put towards kit and facilities.

Before Saturday’s clash with Bradford Bulls, Normanton’s under 8’s and under 10’s will showcase their skills with members of the Wildcats first team squad in a pre-match masterclass before forming a guard of honour to welcome the teams onto the pitch ahead of the big kick-off.

All amateur clubs taking part throughout the season will be assigned player ambassadors who will regularly attend club training sessions, presentation evenings and other club events with the Knights having Peter Fox, Paul Aiton, Isaac John and former Knights amateur Adam Slater as their ambassadors for the 2012 season.

Fans will be able to show their support for one of their local amateur clubs thanks to a Just Giving service set up by the Wildcats Community Trust.

Simply text NORM00 and the amount you’d like to donate (ie. NORM00 £1) to 70070 and all money donated will go straight to the Knights to help the club develop the future generations of rugby league stars.

Find out how the first Amateur Club Focus Fixture went for the young Knights on the website next week.
