Paul Dickov hopes his Oldham players are well equipped to deal with their forthcoming fixture pile-up.
Saturday's postponement at Brentford means Latics' last three games have fallen foul of the weather.
They are due to face Walsall on Tuesday and Dickov is wary that a congested schedule last term saw his side's form tail off - something they can ill afford, standing seven points above the npower League One relegation zone.
"We're going to have a backlog of fixtures but we have to deal with that," said Dickov.
"There's no point moaning about it. What we don't want to happen is what happened last year, when we didn't cope very well with the amount of games.
"We're jigging things around this time and hopefully we've learned our lesson from last season."
