Chandler’s Jeremiah Albrecht works with Bill Landgraf to program a custom store fixture via MasterCam software. Chandler uses SolidWorks to generate their engineering drawings and found that MasterCam was very efficient to set tooling to those drawings. The part was designed for a trade show fixture to showcase a client’s panel systems and required exact diagonal designs which were achieved by using a down spiral cutter and single-fluted angle bit. The completed part has crisp edges and is ready to go. This custom fixture was easy to produce with the CNC machine and was accomplished quickly. Machine operator Pat Sherman explains his tooling choices.
