The Moen faucet fixture in our 2006 Safari 23 has been loose ever since we got it. Not unworkably loose but annoyingly not tight. It's loose where the base of the fixture fits flush against the sink top.

I have included pics of the underside as well because I can find no discernible way to tighten this fixture. Hopefully someone out there has run into this or is a plumber who might be familiar with the type of clamp (at least I think it's a clamp) this is and how it is tightened.

I specify single hole sink fixtures all the time, and some are tricky to keep tight. I found the instructions for this faucet on Moen

and it looks like the single brass nut is the thing that holds the C shaped clamp tight. You might want to get a knurled lock washer to put between the nut and the C clamp, to keep if from working loose on the road. Hope that helps

Thanks for the quick response... the illustration is very helpful and now going back to my pics i see the brass nut... and it even looks loose in the photo... so i will try tightening it before i try the lock washer... i was trying to see if there wasn't either a screw or allen bolt in one of the smaller holds on the brass colored flat surface of the collar bracket.

for some reason that brass bolt just didn't look to me like it would have that function.

It's a small bolt to keep the large C clamp thing secured. The faucets I've had trouble with have been like that, the stronger ones (HansGrohe) have several nuts to spread out the force.

Glad if I was some help, it's great to be able to when it's something I can do in my sleep.

Guess i could at least get the name right....

believe it or not i actually have a basin wrench from back in day of old house restoration that may be just the thing to tighten that nut with... now to dig through the tools in the garage to find it. But im sure if i can't find it i can get a crescent on it
