GlobalShop is always good for readership here at FixturesCloseUp, and the trend for store fixtures generally seems to continue upward. Ordinarily I world think the GlobalShop Trade Show would distract my clientele and I would be ignored. But that is not the case. This year 14,157 fixture readers visited FixturesCloseUp during February, with some of the highest daily totals being the days of GlobalShop (February 29th through March 2) and even the travel days to it. What drives readers with GlobalShop at hand? I suspect two factors. One is users searching for fixtures generally as research to their GlobalShop attendance. But further I believe “While the cat is away, the mice will play.” Staff left out of the trip to GlobalShop “play” researching retail fixtures, point-of-purchase componentry, and GlobalShop news from their office. If you have any theories yourself, please post. For to me this is akin to trying to explain toy sales peaking Christmas Day itself rather than prior to Christmas Eve.
