When you think of custom-tailored men’s suits, images of a tiny shop crammed with tweed and full-length mirrors come to mind, not rapid-fire shots of virtual models walking a catwalk. My.Suit, one of the largest suit makers in the world, needed a mold-breaking fixture to match its focus of modernizing custom clothing with “made-to-measure” suits stitched on demand. To match the forward thinking of their brand, UnSPACE in New York designed a Digital Pod and Bench that produces a virtual model walking a catwalk down the center of the store. Then, Grand + Benedicts made the fixture come to life, crafting the furniture, millwork and upholstery. What a home run. Grand + Benedicts, UnSPACE and CRphoto, who handled the photography, won the Association for Retail Environments (ARE) Fixture of the Year.
