The Bolton boss is miffed he takes his side to St James’ Park after only a day’s rest — while Toon have had the weekend to recharge.
Newcastle won 2-0 at Swansea on Good Friday — while Bolton lost 3-0 against Fulham on Saturday.
And Coyle believes that extra day over the Easter weekend gives Alan Pardew’s men a big advantage.
He said: “I would have preferred another day’s rest — the same as Newcastle have had.And you’ve got teams playing on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“I would have loved an extra day so it was a level playing field — but there you go.”
Bolton looked tired as they crashed to Fulham but Coyle’s men must bounce back as the relegation fight starts to hot up.
